     @gol10dr Which VM software do you use? I'm surprised to find a ton of it out there. Are there free options?

     @guiseppec I use Virtual PC, which is free and works pretty well with !win7 but VMWare is the better choice. I use that as well.

     @guiseppec The only reason I suggest a VM for demos is to keep the server apps and SQL off the host. Also easy to move for disaster recovery

     @guiseppec Player will play, workstation comes at a price but server is free. Server is what I use. You can also use Sun VirtualBox.

     @gol10dr Does RAM become an issue if using heavy sw like !SolidWorks on same machine? I hav to allocate an amount to the VM right? How much?

     @guiseppec For server it is not that demanding. I have 8GB and give it 2. When I had 4 I gave it 1. Performance-wise it was fine.
